Just like the Global ESC LIVE event, you have the freedom to pick the sessions you want to attend. But attending the event in its entirety – sessions, networking, and sponsor tech talks and demos – will help you get the most out of the experience.

Global ESC VIRTUAL provides critical information and education for all stakeholders within the damage prevention and excavation safety industry. With education specific to industries and roles, as well as education with a cross-industry appeal, Global ESC VIRTUAL is the premiere event to network with industry peers, learn safe practices, and lower costs associated with excavation damages.

Upon registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with login instructions. If you do not receive the email, contact us to have it resent.

A Full Conference registration includes access to all activities, sessions, networking events, and 60 days post-event session access.

Yes, you can log in beginning April 5 at 8:00 AM CST to get comfortable with the event platform. Use your email from your confirmation email.

Global Excavation Safety Conference VIRTUAL registrations are not refundable, but registered delegate will have access to on-demand viewing 60 days post-event.

The interactive event is three days, April 6-8, 2021, however, on-demand viewing is available for 60 days post-event.  You can continue to view and download material from sponsor showrooms for 60 days post-event as well.

Only sponsors of Global ESC VIRTUAL will have access to your contact information. Infrastructure Resources does not share or sell this information.

Yes, with a Full Conference registration there are multiple sessions in every scheduled educational timeslot, and with 60-day post-event access to on-demand viewing, you can pick the sessions you attend for extraordinary access to all educational content.

Although you do not need a webcam to attend, a webcam will enhance your experience by allowing face-to-face interaction with other delegates.

Most sessions will be available on-demand after their scheduled presentation. Live Q&A is not available for on-demand sessions. Login to view on-demand sessions.

Yes, with multiple sessions in every scheduled educational timeslot, and 60-day access to on-demand viewing post-event, you can pick the sessions you attend with extraordinary access to all educational content.

To provide feedback on the event, there is a survey you can fill out on the homepage after you login. After each educational session, attendees will be sent a survey to provide feedback on the session. Some sponsors may also have surveys in their showroom. If you are a sponsor or speaker, you will receive a post-event survey via e-mail.  

Sessions are available on the platform for 60 days post-event. Use your email and password to log in and view sessions. After this time, many sessions will be available on the Excavation Safety Alliance (ESA) website for paid ESA members. For information on an ESA membership, click here.

Scheduled sessions all offer the ability to ask questions, although in a variety of ways. Depending on the session, you will be able to ask your question by the speaker unmuting you during the session Q&A, through text chat during the session, or by joining a video chat post-session with the speaker. Session descriptions will clearly indicate which form of contact each session offers.

Networking

There are three scheduled networking times each day (breakfast, lunch, and end of day), with multiple networking rooms to choose from. In the Theater, find the networking tab and scroll to the date and time. Click on the link you are interested in and it will take you to a networking room where you can join colleagues in an open discussion on your topic of choice.

Yes, during most activities text chat remains available and you can always go into the lounge to start or join a conversation.

Yes, chats in the lounge or in a sponsor showroom are public, however, sponsors can convert your chat to a private chat if desired.

Sponsor Showrooms

Sponsor tech talks and demos are offered within the sponsor showroom. Visit the sponsor showroom during the scheduled time and select the presentation you want to participate in.

If a sponsor has a private chat feature, they will link it within their showroom. 

Visit the sponsor showroom to access videos, links, and downloads to learn more about the sponsor. During dedicated showroom times, sponsors will have live representatives available to chat.

No. There is no virtual exhibit hall. You can visit different sponsors in the sponsor showroom.

Speaker FAQs

Becoming a Speaker

Infrastructure Resources welcomes all points of view at the Global Excavation Safety Conference VIRTUAL event. If you are interested in being a speaker, you can submit your abstract at ir-savinglives.com/submissions.

Although the deadline for submitting your abstract is December 15, 2020, Infrastructure Resources will continue to review and add sessions up until event dates as space allows.

Speaker Registration for the Global Excavation Safety Conference VIRTUAL

Speakers will have access  to their session only. To access other educational opportunities, speakers must register as a Full Conference Delegate.

Yes, we offer a $125 discount to speakers who wish to take advantage of the full benefits of the conference. The discount code is provided to speakers upon acceptance of their abstract.

Finalizing Your Presentation

You have 45 minutes for your presentation, including Q&A. We recommend using 30-35 minutes for the actual presentation and reserving 10-15 minutes for Q&A. Longer sessions can be accommodated through on-demand services.

There is no need to send in your presentation. You will be able to present on your topic direct from your laptop.

Yes, sessions are pre-recorded to protect against internet connectivity issues and other technology issues that may arise. Once your abstract has been selected, we will contact you to schedule a recording session. Sessions scheduled into the agenda will require the speaker to be on-hand during the scheduled time to address Q&A.

We prefer that you use the Global ESC VIRTUAL template. Use of your own presentation template requires approval. Please contact Karin@SavingLives.com. If you do obtain permission to use a different template, you must follow the requirements detailed on slide one of the Global ESC VIRTUAL template.

Recording Your Session

Yes, videos can add definite value to your presentation, however, embed your video into your powerpoint rather than linking to it to reduce potential connectivity issues.

In this situation, please contact Karin@IR-SavingLives.com. While we won’t automatically decline a session for this reason, we strongly recommend pre-recording for best results. Your pre-recorded session will not be distributed beyond what you authorize.

Having your session housed on ESA expands your exposure to the membership base of industry professionals and offers them the ability to reach out directly to you or your company for more information.

The event agenda is available at globalescvirtual.com/agenda. Concurrent scheduled sessions are scheduled at multiple times throughout the three-day event. On-demand sessions are available at your convenience.

While we will take into consideration conflicts you may have, sessions are scheduled in a manner that offers a variety of topics appealing to multiple industries in each time slot. Determination of which sessions will be offered as on-demand and which will be offered in a scheduled time throughout the event will be determined in January/February 2021.
